Today’s world requires a lot of eye-straining activities. We might be able to achieve a perfectly healthy lifestyle but often tend to neglect taking care of our eyes.  They say beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Few tips to provide extra care to the beholder’s busy eyes:)

20-20-20 rule

It is likely to neglect eye health when we are too involved in screens or continuous reading activities.  The very famous eye care rule says that after every 20 minutes of screentime, take a break to look away at an object at least 20 feet away, for at least 20 seconds. This will reduce continuous straining of eyes.

Palm rub

Rub your palms till some warmth is generated. Place your warm palms on both eyes. Take a deep breath. Keep your eyes closed during the process. Repeat this whenever you need a quick relaxation for your eyes.

No screen for 12 hours

Take a break from the screen from 9 pm to 9 am. This will give more time to your eyes to relax and avoid bedtime screen exposure. Also, it will help not to look at your phone screens the first thing in the morning and you can make good use of this time to have a healthy morning routine.

Exercise and diet

Staying active, spending time in nature and following a good diet will add to the overall wellness of your eyes. Considering your medical conditions add green leafy vegetables, eggs, fish, citrus fruits to your diet.

Maintaining eye health is the need of the hour!
